Our 2021 vintage originates from our Estate vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley. The grapes were hand-picked at 24.1 degrees brix on the mornings of October 12th and 13th. After sorting, the clusters were 100% de-stemmed and moved to large bins. After a 5-day cold soak, yeast was used to start fermentation and the wine was punched down by hand 3 times a day. Following fermentation, the wine was aged in French Oak for 19 months before being bottled.
Our 2021 Malbec presents a beautiful bouquet of Briar Berries and Rose buds, with subtle aromas of baking spice and vanilla from it’s 19 month aging in French Oak. This wine opens with flavors Red Current and Blackberries, with a soft and yet dusty tannic structure to carry the mid-palate. The finish is pleasantly long, with Vanilla and brown sugar completing its red fruit qualities.
